Shipping Information
Fairbury Steaks uses UPS as our shipper and has worked with them to develop a reliable packaging system to ensure that your meat arrives frozen and in excellent condition! We use dry ice, a foam cooler, and an insulated cardboard shipping container. This is the perfect packaging combination to maintain the safety and quality of your order upon delivery.
After you place your order, it will be processed and shipped to you, arriving in just a few days. We like to avoid having your shipment sitting in a warehouse over the weekend, so we are careful about when we ship your order.
We file a signature release with the shipper, so packages will be left at your door. If you are sending a steak package as a gift, please notify the recipient that a shipment is on the way. Surprises are nice, but when you're dealing with premium quality steaks, you really want folks to be watching for the shipment. Please call us if you have special requests regarding delivery dates.
Standard Shipping
Orders must be recieved by 2:00pm Central Time Tuesday to guarantee same week delivery outside of the Midwest area. Your order will arrive in 3 - 5 business days or less from the day we receive your order. A delivery charge of $15.00 will be added for the first item you order, and $10.00 will be added for each additional item sent to the same address.
To guarantee delivery, please provide a proper and complete address along with the correct phone number. Sorry, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses, nor can we be held responsible for incorrect addresses supplied to us. Fairbury Steaks, Inc. is bound by the policies of its primary shipper, UPS, in regard to delivery exceptions.
2nd Day Air
This service is available for an additional $10 fee on orders received before 2:00 p.m. Central Time Monday through Wednesday.
Next Day Air
Orders received before 2:00 p.m. Central Time Monday through
Thursday can be shipped out for next day delivery. There will be an additional $30.00 shipping charge beyond the basic ground fees for this service.
Alaska and Hawaii
Orders received before 2:00 p.m. Central Time on Mondays and Tuesdays can be shipped out for delivery that week. There will be an additional $25.00 charge.
Shipping FAQ's
Can I choose to have my order arrive on Saturday? We do not at this time normally schedule Saturday delivery; however, Saturday delivery is available in some areas. If you desire this service please call for details.
Can I send Fairbury Steaks orders overseas? Currently, we are unable to ship internationally. We do ship our products to all parts of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.
If I check the shipper's web site to track my order and there seems to be a problem, what should I do? Our Customer Care professionals can assist you. (You can also type the tracking number of your shipment into the Google Search Window and you will be taken to a tracking report.)
Packaging and Freshness
How can perishable meat items arrive still fresh? All of our products are flash frozen at the peak of freshness to preserve their high quality. We carefully pack your order with dry ice in insulated coolers and seal the coolers to ensure a tight seal. We use UPS to make sure we get the order to you the quickest, based on where it is being delivered.
When I took my steak packages out of the cooler, I noticed that the meat looked darker than I expected. Yet, when I opened a package to prepare supper, the red color returned. Why is that? We vacuum seal all of the meat we ship to preserve freshness. When a package is opened and the product is once again exposed to air, the rich red color of premium meat blooms.
When I opened the box there was no dry ice left. Is the meat still fresh? If the meat is still frozen, the product is fine and should be placed directly in the freezer. If the product is "tempered" (starting to thaw on the outside), place the product directly in the freezer. If the product is completely thawed but cold to the touch, it should be placed in the refrigerator and eaten within 72 hours. If the product is thawed and not cold to the touch, please contact our Customer Care department at customercare@fairburysteaks.com or call toll free 1-877-316-9266 upon inspection of your package.
Fairbury Steaks is committed to delivering high quality products to you. We unconditionally guarantee their freshness. If you are not completely satisfied, just let us know and we will make it right. Fairbury Steaks can not be responsible for customer errors in ordering or address information or if they have moved prior to shipping. Credit card accounts, and billing and shipping addresses must be verified. If you are sending our product as a gift to a third party, it will be your responsibility to inform that person of the delivery. No signatures are required on our packages to prevent packages being delivered back to a shipping terminal and spoiling.
